Not much written on this one: it’s been 500 years since the happenings of the first game…or that it is set 500 years before the first game (hard to read translate at the moment). In any case, it’s based around a religious movement, the Injiera, which has had 200 years to gain substantial power. These people believe in a benevolent god of light—something their neighbors, the Lushiera, do not agree with. The Lushiera believe in a crueler deity to whom they pray for strength. This leads to a good old fashioned crusade between the two religions, and countries are dragged into the Great Saint/Demon War.
