I guess, why some of us if not many, wanted to learn English, because English is one of the most easiest languages in the world. With all of respect, of-course I would love to use Indonesian world wide. But think again, Indonesian is not that easy in structure. For even some of us who came from different local culture. Indonesian root is Malay, commonly use by Malay ethnic. But since we are in Indonesia, absorbing our multi cultural making Indonesian not "that easy" to use depending to whom we are talking.
i.e. Use the word "Kamu" some find it rude and rather use "anda" other thing, most people especially Javanese preferred to use" Berapa putra anda?" rather than" Anakmu berapa?" Which for term of most Javanese, is considered rude to use "anak" Of-course this is not an official statement why Indonesian can't be use world wide.
I disagree using term of "our poor is damned poor" because it is not true. I really proud to be Indonesian and I am always be. No matter where I am staying and how I life doesn't change the fact that how happy I am to be Indonesian.
Is that true tht indonesian root is malay?:masaseh:
Do u knoe the meaning of malay? We talk about indonesian in general, not only abt sumatera and java island. How abt those melanesian in east part of indonesia????
Its true indonesian absorbing multi cultural, in language becoz of influence of arabic and English. But I dunno why u giving stupid reason why bahasa indonesia cant be an international language. Not becoz bahasa Indonesia is difficult or bla...bla...bla......but becoz "indonesia never rules the world". English become international languge becoz of US, UK and etc who rules the world. Also not becoz of English is one of the most easiest languages in the world. Looks easy coz they use it world wide.:capedeh:
We need to use english everywhere....why??? bcoz english is INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE (so simple)
Nice post CatGirl!!! You are so right about what you said!!!
Thanks for your comment!
Anytime!!! JK(just kidding)!!!!!
I was just stating she made some very good points!!!:norose:
By pointing that someone else's opinion is stupid, I am afraid to say that you so shallow. Of course I have no right to say that you're wrong or right. I am not in the state to judging. When I said Indonesian (which what we used as National language) root is Malay, I didn't specific said to Malaysian as a country. I pointed here Malay as an ethnic. You don't have to be so emotional when you are into discussion which is based on personal opinion. If you read my opinion carefully, than I assumed you will understand what I have wrote. When I said about the place, it is just an example. Whether we like or not, Indonesian at least during Suharto's time, use of Javanese is used by country wide. No matter which ethnicity we are coming from! But still, perhaps you didn't read my opinion when I saying; I would love that Indonesian could be use worldwide, but this is a rhetorical question for you or probably for almost everyone of us who use Indonesian, how good we are in term of using Indonesian? Have we used Indonesian correctly?
Nice post CatGirl!!! You are so right about what you said!!!
